My Story

Blue Lotus Laser was founded in Richmond, VA in 2021 by a member of the tattoo community, someone who lives and breathes tattooing.

The idea of a second chance is something I’m sure everyone can relate to. We all make decisions in our lives that we sometimes wish we could go back and take another swing at. With over 120 million people in the United States having at least one tattoo, I am sure you can imagine more than a few of those individuals might be wishing for a redo button. At Blue Lotus Laser, I do not think of tattoo removal as erasing some mistake, but rather offering a second chance to my clients. I am no different than many of you. I got a tattoo when I was young and inexperienced that I began to regret. With multiple sessions of laser removal and many more sessions of tattoo cover up, I am now happy at the second chance I gave myself. That is why I offer you my services today: to give you a second chance to love the skin you’re in.

After high school, I went to Georgia Southern University and graduated with honors in a double major of International Studies and Spanish. The plan was to go to graduate school and get a masters degree in public health, hopefully epidemiology. That all changed when I got offered a job to run the front desk of a tattoo shop. I had been collecting tattoos for several years at the same shop while I studied in college. However, neither my home town nor my college town were in Savannah, GA where I would get tattooed. I would travel around an hour one way just to hang out with the guys and get a new tattoo. One tattoo session, after I graduated college, I mentioned that I was going to move to Savannah since it was a bigger town and had more opportunities for me than my hometown. I was offered a part-time job on the spot cleaning up the tattoo parlor and running the front desk. From there, I gained more hours and more responsibilities until I was promoted to general manager, a job I still consider one of the best I’ve ever had. Working at a tattoo shop opened my eyes to art of all kinds: painting, photography, music, and of course tattoos. I have cultivated an intimate understanding of tattoos(and nearly an entire body suit) and care about tattooing very deeply. That is why I am passionate about laser tattoo removal. I know far too many people who have tattoos they are unhappy with and wish they could change. I know that I myself had a large tattoo on my chest that embarrassed me because of both the quality of work and imagery. To be able to go to work daily and give my clients a second chance at loving their skin is truly a joy. I use my laser treatments to help people look good and therefore feel good about themselves. I don’t mind if you only want a few sessions to lighten your tattoo enough for a cover up or if you want to completely remove the tattoo down to skin tone. If I am able to help you feel better about your own skin, then I consider it a job well done.
